We are currently facilitating 2 groups, an Arts and Craft group (Women’s Integrations Group), which is open to all women, and a peer mentoring group, which is open to women who have, or may experience discrimination.
Members of the Women’s Integration Group from Plymouth and Devon Racial Equality Council are working with the artist Helen Snell on the design and construction of a group costume inspired by stories of colonialism from different perspectives.
Plymouth and Devon Racial Equality Council have been facilitating a peer mentoring group for over 4 years. The group is led by the women, who determine the activities from regular planning and feedback sessions.
During the COVID pandemic the groups have been taking place virtually over Zoom. We have just restarted physical meetings, that comply with all government safety advice regarding COVID. However, this may change from time to time, in-line with government policy.
For more information about the groups please contact Vanessa Crosse on 07393128153 or email v.crosse@plymouthrec.org
